We now know about Indian Marxists's reaction on Saddam Hussain's death sentenence.
And the reason that triggered such a response from a Communist party that believes in democracy!
Marxists ignore reality; it is time we checked out what Iraqi's say about the issue.
IraqÂs Prime Minister Nuri Al-Maliki said SaddamÂs execution could not compare with Âone drop of the blood of the martyrs who died opposing his rule.
ÂThis sentence is not a sentence on one man, but a sentence against all the dark period of his rule, Maliki said in a passionate address to the nation shortly after Saddam was convicted.
ÂThis ruler has committed the most horrible crimes. He executed the best scientists, academics and thinkers, said Maliki.
And now onto the American reaction.
US President George W. Bush called the verdict Âa milestone in the Iraqi peopleÂs efforts to replace the rule of a tyrant with the rule of law. He said it was a major achievement for IraqÂs young democracy and its constitutional government.
Election-year bickering quickly broke out.
Democrats said justice was served but that it was unclear how the verdict would change the course of the war.ÂThe Iraqis have traded a dictator for chaos. Neither option is acceptable, especially when it is our troops who are caught in the middle, said Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada.
