Kapil on Ganguly's famous knock against Bangladesh in 2007 World Cup

By John Cheeran
Here is what former Indian team captain Kapil Dev Nikhanj had to say on Sourav Ganguly famous half century against Bangladesh at Port of Spain in the 2007 World Cup.
Let me quote the relevant portion from Kapil’s column that The Times of India carried on Tuesday.
“ I have no problem if batsmen get dismissed early in the innings. But when a player has faced 30-40 balls and has settled in, he has to play responsibly and has to hang on till the last over—especially when the team is in trouble. It was the responsibility of Sourav and Yuvraj to stick on for longer especially because they were playing so well. Instead , we relied on the tail enders to get us the runs.”
I’m sure some parochial cricket watchers will get agitated reading that, as they do when reading this blog.
Enjoy.
